How area conversion works
Every area unit is a fixed multiple of another. To convert, change the value into a common unit such as square feet, then into the unit you want.
The formula
Result = value × (size of the starting unit ÷ size of the target unit)
Worked example
2 acres in square meters: 2 × 43,560 = 87,120 square feet, and 87,120 × 0.092903 = 8,093.7 square meters.
